Start with the way your space operates
Tell us what the property is used for, which areas need painting and whether people will be present during the work. Reception areas, offices and shared rooms can have different access needs. Confirm that the building type and project size are a fit before planning the schedule.
Define work areas and responsibilities
A useful scope identifies surfaces, colors, preparation and anything that must stay protected. Discuss who moves equipment, clears walls and coordinates access with tenants or staff. Specialty coatings, high-access work and regulated environments need specific assessment; they are not implied by a general painting quote.
Coordinate the schedule early
Share operating hours, delivery times and any deadlines. Ask about possible phasing and whether the requested timing can be accommodated. After-hours or weekend work is not assumed and should be agreed expressly if needed.
Close out the project with clear records
Review completed surfaces against the written scope and keep the finish information for ongoing maintenance. Ask how any touch-up concerns should be reported and which warranty provisions apply to the work. Building contacts and approval responsibilities should be clear throughout the project.
