Walk around the property and note peeling areas, exposed surfaces, cracks and staining. Different materials and coating histories call for different preparation. Identify siding, masonry, trim and doors individually rather than assuming a whole-house quote includes every exterior surface.
Cleaning, removal of loose coating, priming and agreed surface repairs should be explained before work begins. Moisture problems or damaged material may require attention beyond painting. A new coating should not be used to hide an unresolved underlying issue.
Exterior work needs room for equipment and a clear route around the home. Tell us about gates, landscaping, parked vehicles and any access restrictions. Weather and product requirements influence scheduling; discuss how updates will be handled if conditions change.
